He’s Alive!

These are plein air and resulting studio works painted from Easter morning- a tradition I began in 2011.

He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves,
but unto Him which died for them, and rose again.

II Corinthians 5:15

WHY DO I PAINT?
The answer is in this verse. I paint to bring glory to the One Who died and rose again for me. Even if the all-powerful Creator and Sustainer of the universe chose not to define love by offering us redemption from sin’s eternal penalty and a new, abundant life in Him, His awesome design and orchestration of creation would demand His praise. How much greater purpose then, does one have to manifest creation who has experienced that redemption and new life!
The resurrection of Jesus Christ was the pinnacle moment in eternity for mankind-reflected symbolically in nature with Easter’s sunrise. And yet, each day reveals countless treasures of His power and love. May our eyes be open to see them.
